How To Be Presentable In Your Answer Sheets

I am sure, you’ve listened to & used this phrase like gazillion times. Who doesn’t like to be presentable and when it goes “GOOD”, it’s like icing on the cake!

Don’t you think this way???

So, it is very important to be presentable in your writing. As they say, “Our work is the presentation of our capabilities”. And writing is the best tool that talks so much about people’s personalities.

Whether you’re writing a regular school examination or sitting for boards or writing any semester papers, there are two steps that every aspirant needs to realize or understand: (i) Preparedness & (ii) Be Presentable to your Answer.
To make your answer sheet really impressive for the examiner, there are certain Points you need to keep in mind:

#1 IDENTIFY YOUR PRIORITIES

Before you even start writing your answers, keep your priorities set; Meaning – Fill up your Name, Roll No., Subject Name, Subject Code, and Correct Signature. Read your Question Paper completely and thoroughly so that you can properly allot the given time to each question and strategize for your answers.

#2 BE CRISP & ANSWER TO-THE-POINT

Make your Answers brief, clear, and to the point. Put correct keywords as they are the marks fetchers. Try to write your answers in points (if possible). This makes your answer

#3 CHOOSE YOUR OPTIONAL QUESTIONS WITH CARE

Nobody likes A BIG CUT in the answer sheets. This gives a bad impression to the examiner. So, it is very important to have a good selection of Questions. Choose Questions after carefully & attentively reading the whole Question paper. This helps you to save A LOT OF TIME and avoids untidiness.

 #4 ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS IN SEQUENCE

It’s not any Hard & Fast Rule but try to write your answers in a certain sequence as defined in the question paper and especially when there are multi-purpose questions. There are chances that you may lose marks. Plus, it actually irritates the teacher as it creates a tremendous amount of confusion for them. If you think it this way… You only have to write one subject at a time but the teacher has hundreds of copies to check.

#5 MAINTAIN A CLEAN HANDWRITING

If you think handwriting doesn’t matter in the examination, Well, it’s your biggest misconception. Handwriting carries a great role in your scoring good marks. Good and Neat handwriting wins half of your war. It gives clarity to the teacher and helps them understand your answers better.

Secret Tip: There are certain marks allotted to handwriting in the exams.

#6 MENTION EXAMPLES, DIAGRAMS & GRAPHS IN THE ANSWERS

The coolest & easiest hack to score good marks quickly in the exam is… Try to support your answers with Examples, Diagrams, or Graphs. This gives an extra edge to your answer, Explains the concepts better, and elaborates your answers at a good length. Also, these things work like a jackpot where the definitions don’t work out better.

OK, THE LAST ONE… VERY IMPORTANT!

#7 RECHECK YOUR ANSWER

Before the final submission of your answer sheet, recheck your answers very carefully & attentively before handing over to the Invigilator. Interestingly, you will be surprised by what you can spot in those last few minutes. You will come to know about your silly mistakes. Always remember last minutes is your last chance to correct your mistakes. Avoid using fluids, just cut the wrong spellings. Check Every Spelling, Grammar, Steps, Diagram, Highlights keywords, etc., at least 15-20 mins prior. Leave no chance of Doubt, as there is no turning back!

Remember, that exams are not monsters. Do not panic on the day of your exam because it can affect your answers. Convince yourself that you know how to answer exam questions and you’re almost there.
